Canterbury Park Adds TopTix Ticketing System to Support Customer Service Mission

SHAKOPEE, MN (February 2, 2017)—At Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota, every employee is indoctrinated in a method of customer service known as the “Canterbury Way.” Aside from actively engaging guests in a fun, interactive manner during each visit, Canterbury employees strive to anticipate guests’ needs and exceed their expectations. To support this effort, Canterbury signed on and is now live with SRO, the advanced ticketing, CRM, and marketing platform authored by Charleston, SC based company TopTix.

Canterbury Park, located in River South, is Minnesota’s only thoroughbred and quarter horse racing facility with a live race meet running May through September, and simulcast wagering year round. The suburban Minneapolis entertainment destination also operates Canterbury Card Casino, dealing a mix of poker and casino games 24/7. Canterbury also hosts several special events including major concerts, trade shows, and sporting events.

Canterbury Park’s MVP Rewards program offers and manages multiple levels of patron membership with different benefits associated with each level. As such, it is essential to match each guest to their respective level of membership and ensure that the appropriate benefits are being administered proactively including free admissions or product discounts.

Leveraging the SRO API, Canterbury is not only able to validate membership levels and track and implement overall event related benefits, but also gain valuable information about each member’s visits and activities.”

Canterbury Park invited twelve companies to bid on the project and closely considered three ticketing and CRM services. SRO was selected as the most configurable system, able to support both general admission and reserved seating.
