The SRO web interface has made the online experience much smoother for customers. The rules-based engine also makes it much easier to control what is happening in the system instead of having to constantly make changes at the show level. And having the ability to offer password protected presales for performances on the Clay Center website and managing all aspects of school visits—from setting up time tables to allocating guides to customizing and emailing pertinent documents—has already made a big impact on sales efficiency.

The Clay Center houses performing arts, visual arts and sciences under one roof—one of the few of its kind in the country. The facility is home to the Avampato Discovery Museum, the Juliet Museum of Art, the Maier Foundation Performance Hall, the Walker Memorial Theater and the Digital Dome (a large format film and planetarium).

Challenge

The Clay Center serves as a central hub of culture for the entire state of West Virginia. The mission of the Center is to simultaneously promote and provide performing arts, visual arts and science education. Due to the magnitude and complexity of managing so many exhibits, events and tens of thousands of visitors, the Clay Center was seeking an all-in-one system that could significantly enhance the customers’ online experience and the organization’s group scheduling capabilities for the 240,000 square-foot facility.
