The Starlite Theatre Brings Solution to Address Unique Branson Ticket Sales Market Challenge

Up to 30-60% of ticket sales in Branson, MO are processed through ticket resellers that depend on accurate accounting of a complex voucher system.

BRANSON, MO (January 16, 2016)—The Starlite Theatre has signed on with TopTix, based in Charleston, SC, and its advanced SRO ticketing and CRM platform to manage both direct and indirect ticket sales.

The Starlite Theatre, which currently represents major headliners such as Raiding the Country Vault, Raiding the Rock Vault, and The Texas Tenors is one of the top live show ticket sales generators in Branson, MO, with 25-30% of these sold as vouchers through dozens of reseller outlets. This makes for a very complex process to properly secure each ticket sold and reconcile each sale back to the correct outlet.

Renée Johnson, who has been involved with entertainment management in Branson for the past 14 years, knew there had to be a technology that could manage both the access control and reporting issues unique to Branson. Ms. Johnson, along with the team at The Starlite Theatre, went on a quest to find a better solution six months ago.

“After spending months looking at no less than 8 different software systems, we found SRO to be the most attractive right out of the box as far as unmatched reporting capabilities, user friendliness, and the ability to instantly increase our sales,” said Ms. Johnson.

The Starlite Theatre’s mission is to provide the very best guest experience in Branson from arriving at the parking lot to walking out after the show. The same mission extends to business relationships with local resellers. Making the move to SRO is intended to significantly reduce the mistake ratio and eliminate the many hours of manual labor currently required.

SRO allows Starlite Theatre to integrate all POS outlets including online, box office, concessions and gift shop with inventory. The theatre plans on leveraging the rules-based engine, which will enable the theatre to instantly change pricing based on demand and create unique upsell and cross-sell “Grab-and-Go” packages with tickets, concessions and merchandise.

Pam Critchfield, Sales and Marketing Director added, “from a sales and marketing perspective, I am most excited about the incredible reporting capabilities of SRO. This new system will be significant in helping us reach our goals in 2017 and beyond.”

“The entire staff at Starlite Theatre has treated us like partners and been diligent throughout the planning and implementation process. Starlite has set the stage for not only greater operational efficiency and better marketing decision making, but also the ability to generate immediate bottom line results through SRO,” said Brian Stallings, President of TopTix Americas.
